Deadline 20th December
There are four main learning styles: Visual, Auditory, Verbal and Physical.
Visual learning has a preference of teaching using images, pictures and colours in order to present the information. This is to allow people to be able to visualise the information or the event and to create their own picture in their minds. This method allows people to create the link between the information written on a page and the image in front of them.
Auditory learning has a preference on using sounds or even music to aid in the learning process. Certain sounds can provoke certain emotions or certain images to appear in your mind; attempting to teach by using associated sounds can be very useful because, when the student hears that specific sound they will be able to link it to a specific word, phrase or event.
Verbal learning has an emphasis on using your words, whether they are written or spoken. This teaching style promotes self-expression, being able to speak your mind and get things wrong in order to be corrected.
Physical learning involves participating in activities and associating the sense of touch with different things. Some people find that performing physical activities is more useful in their own learning process than simply writing something down on a piece of paper.
In this unit I have used visual, auditory and verbal learning methods to help me complete the tasks. I have used diagrams, presentations, videos and other images in several tasks to achieve the highest mark possible; this was my visual learning. I have listened to online videos when I have become stuck with a program to complete different tasks; this was my auditory learning. I have also communicated with my peers and teacher and have read online guides when I have become stuck with a task or to find out what to do next; this was my verbal learning.
